The Council of Protestant Churches of Cameroon (CPCC) concerned about the development of the Protestant youth of our country through the encouragement of self-employment, organized through its youth department and within the framework of its three-year program, a training workshop for young people on setting up projects. The regional youth training workshop on « setting up income-generating projects » was held from June 26 to 27, 2019 in the city of Bafoussam, capital of the Western Region of Cameroon. This workshop inspired by Hosea 4: 6, « my people perish for lack of knowledge », was held in the premises of the reception and animation center of the parish of Bafoussam-plateau (CEACABAP). Thirty (34) participants took part.

The main objective of this workshop was to provide young people with the necessary tools and skills to enable them to set up profitable, sustainable and formal income-generating activities, easily implemented in their environment.

  • Determine the business opportunities present in their environment;
  • Know the institutions supporting the creation of income-generating activities;
  • Know the administrative procedures for the formalization of its activity;
  • Understand the basic financial management tools for the sustainability of the activity;
  • Know the state and private financing structures;
