This was during a two day workshop organized by the Council of Protestant Churches of Cameroon (CPCC), at the PESH Guest house conference hall, in Buea, under the expertise of the national coordinator of the Civil Peace Service (CPS) in Cameroon, Mme Florentine FANDIO.

The eight religious leaders drawn from the Presbyterian Church in Cameroon, Anglican Church of Cameroon, Cameroon Baptist convention and Muslim communities in the North West and South West regions were drilled in context analysis tools and Do No Harm principles. The Anglophone crisis, and the management crisis at the Buea central mosque were brought into perspective to illustrate and apply the Do No Harm concept.

At the end of the workshop, the pastors and Imams promised to use the knowledge acquired to shape themselves and their families; and to further share it with their colleagues, parishioners and communities.

In their evaluation, the religious leaders applauded the humility, tenacity, veracity and simple practicality employed by the facilitator in conducting the workshop. Many confessed that they have never been impacted in a workshop like this, and would be glad to have the CPS national coordinator, Mme Florentine Fandio accompany them in realizing their action plans.

In the meantime, the CPS coordinator says she’s available to guide the different stakeholders in the planning and implementation of whatever projects they may have; and she called on CPCC to follow-up and monitor the implementation of the action plans designed by the participants.

The workshop was closed by the Synod Clerk of the PCC, Rev Miki Hans Abia, who called on participants to translate the theoretical knowledge acquired into practical reality, for the good of our nation and for the welfare of our people.
